New woman sane friend especially for and
NEW HAVEN -- Rosalind Berman, a former state representative and alderwoman from the Westville neighborhood, was remembered by friends Wednesday as an accidental politician who ran for office just to fill out a ticket, but who ended up serving for years at both the state and local levels. She was a city alderwoman starting in the mids and in began her four-term tenure in the state House of Representatives. Besides being a woman in politics, she also was a liberal Republican, which was unique for New Haven and Connecticut," said attorney Jonathan Einhornwho took her place on the aldermanic board after she was elected to the state House. I tried to emulate her. She was responsible for a lot of moderating influence on the board," said Einhorn.
